The sound is unmistakable.  Once you hear someone step on the gas in a Ferrari, you know exactly what kind of engine roar to expect.

That is the beauty of this 3-minute long video of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.  But watching how the driver pushes the car in the turns while maintaining a perfect line is really fascinating.  The car in the video has been outfitted with the Handling GTE package, and the car moves brilliantly because of it.

For cars built before the 2008 model year, Ferrari offers aesthetics, exhaust, and handling kits for a combined total of £17,213 (excl. VAT).  Add £2,700 to the pricetag for post-2009 model year vehicles.  The more expensive package also includes a performance kit.

Some of the improvements include a suspension lowered by 10mm, stiff springs and anti-roll bars, stickier tires wrapped around lighter rims, and a chromed grille.  You will also get two-tone tailpipes with exhaust silencers, and modified Prancing Horse badges.  Those receiving the performance kit will also get to take advantage of a faster F1-style gearshift, and improved accelration.

Keep in mind, the grille shown in the photos is only for new customers ordering the HGTE package with their new car.  That specific grille is not available as a retrofit option.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and the corresponding HGTE package are currently available for purchase.

To Carcrazy1234 "god your dumb... read the article haha" who is dumb here? Anthropos is commenting on WCF's article that says "Some of the improvements include ... a chromed grille. " There is no CHROMED GRILLE in any pictures in this post. The yellow F599 is showing the "New design front grille with a special chromatic treatment" / "mesh front grille on the car shown "

Anthropos is correct that there is no chrome grille on the pics as WCF claims. Next time, before you call someone dumb, check yourself first.

haha.

i should have been even more specific. i was referring to this:

"Keep in mind, the grille shown in the photos is only for new customers ordering the HGTE package with their new car. That specific grille is not available as a retrofit option."

i clearly noticed the photo's having no chrome grille, but now that i read that statement again, i guess i just mixed up the words. thinking that it said "the" instead of "that specific grille" lol

Great car and an amazing sound but its not realistic to think that just aesthetics, exhaust, and suspension cost more than $30,000 alone. But, its a Ferrari and the copany will make a huge profit simply because people will pay. Meh, good for them.

Its more a Ferrari 599 GTE Fiorano, rather than a simple Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano handling pack, in real terms, which probably justifies the price.

I have just read an article about the new Ferrari 599 HGTE, along with a photo (side view) I am so dissapointed in the de3ign of this thing, my initial response was that it looked like something from the 1990's...or maybe earlier, my son who is a designer also agreed. Are the Ferrari designers running out of ideas, & maybe they should knock on the door of Lamborghini for some real inovative design..have never yet once seen a new Lamgorghini release that disappointed, every model faultless & stunning.
