Finally someone with some sense. If it wasn't a revival of the viper it would have been the introduction of another sports car. What they should do is use the viper platform as an engineering showcase, and use it as a framework for some new technology that they could bring to their other cars. Long live the viper.

This easily my favorite car currently in production. This has made my YEAR, period. Im so glad to know my baby will live on, there's no purpose to kill this car even with new impending CAFE emissions. The Challenger and Viper will be the ONLY cars of this caliber which will make questionable emissions. the rest even the Charger will likely be LEV status cars, the Charger like the 300C electric project will probably make due with a hybrid powertrain. So this car serves as Dodges best Balls/Halo car that will help all its models. Even its compacts and sub compacts. Great news WCF As for Devon, i see no reason they still can't make it. It may have had influences from the Viper but it wasn't a Viper, nor did it look the part. As for the engine, i don't see why Dodge would mind selling the Viper motor to Devon like AMG does for Zonda, i doubt Dodge would be opposed to making money, along with some restrictions of course. Go Viper and go Devon. Long Live The Mighty Viper.

I am just wondering how this Big 3 CEOs are thinking for the future of their companies?? It might sound exagerate but, instead of making some crazy their own decisions, why don't they make a good poll (either on their sites, or with the help of some big no.s selling auto magazines) for their brands/models. Based to the results they can have an ideea of what the people will buy in the future. I think that Chrysler had bad cars always if u ask me, i never dreamed to buy myself a chrysler .. and i love cars, even the american ones. The Viper should be mantained as a brand of its own, and instead of making some 20V 12000 cmc engines to burn the paint of the doors, they could work to the interiors, make some other contracts with suppliers of Audi let's say, or some other quality brand. The ideal Chrysler LLC for me should have : Viper, 300C, Journey, Challenger, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee (why they produce also the cherokee i don't know) - less cars, maybe all with the same name/brand but more qualitative.

The Cherokee is one of the oldest, truest and most capable SUVs that can actually do what the SUV was originally built for, "Sport Utility", going off road and messing it up in the mud. The SRT-8 Cherokee hauls @$$, its almost as fast as the Charger and 300C SRT-8s despite being much heavier, not to mention it has an amazing performing and sounding engine, and it looks great. Thats why its around. The Cherokee, is the ESSENCE of the Jeep brand, along with the Wrangler ofcourse.

Strange! They mentioned only 435 Vipers were sold in 2007. Dodge didn't produce the Viper in '07. The cars sold during the '07 model year must have been cars ordered during '06 and completed during '07. Also, some of those cars may have been '06s that were on dealerships floors.
