This article is irrelevant. All the information is nothing more than talk. 6 years is an eternity in the car biz.

Maybe in the computer hardware business. Six years in the automotive industry is enough to develop just one car. In 2015 for instance, we will be able to view the new BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

I keep remembering a an Automobile mag cover with an gullwing could be a prototype or illustration, a few years ago shortly before or just after the SLR went roadster and it does look alot like this interpetation, either way in a few months Iam going to drive the SLS at Laguana beach international speedway, and will let you know if the car rocks or not, hopefully they will allow pictures ,but no matter if the car is being debuted on Sept 15th at the frankfurt auto show then my pics will be moot!!

I'd expect Mercedes premium customers (those invited to the SLS driving tests) to know a bit more about race tracks and that stuff. At least the right name of the track they supposedly have reservations for. He just made his story about being invited to drive one even harder to believe. I won't be looking forward to read his review about the car, no matter if he thinks "it rocks or not".

Loyo, not that I owe you any explanation, I received an invite from AMG, to come to Monterey Ca. and take class the go out on the track and DRIVE THE NEW SLS and yes I paid twenty two hundred dollars to go to this event. So pull the dick out of your ass and stop being bitter table for one and grow up. If you want to the AMG website and look it up yourself,if you not to busy patting yourself on the back for what you thought was cutting edge journalism.

Get behind the wheel of several of the latest AMG vehicles and experience a pulse-pounding, fast paced driver training program. Learn from professional racers and driving instructors on the country's premier racetracks and gain memories that you'll cherish and skills that will serve you for a lifetime. The U.S. expansion of the international AMG Driving Academy, founded by AMG in Affalterbach, begins this Fall. You can choose from one-day Stage I program, a two-day advanced Stage II program, and an exclusive SLS program, offering the chance for track time in the all-new 2011 SLS AMG. The AMG Driving Academy is offered at three premier racetracks: Laguna Seca Raceway(CA), Lime Rock Park (CT) and Palm Beach International Raceway (FL). As a true performance driving school, the AMG Driving Academy succeeds the popular AMG Challenge events. In the Stage I program, you?ll experience specially crafted, hands-on lessons in dynamic performance driving: exercises in threshold braking, cornering and line theory, skid control and recovery, and high speed sector training and track driving, all designed to make you a safer, better driver. Stage II builds on your skills with high-performance dynamics training, extensive data gathering and in-depth driving style analysis ? and of course a lot of laps on the track. Drive the all-new 2011 SLS AMG months ahead of launch: Drivers attending the AMG Driving Academy in Laguna Seca on select dates have the opportunity to be among the very first to drive the most technologically advanced AMG ever, the all-new 2011 SLS AMG.
