The supercar gods continue to be angry at the super rich, as yet another high-priced exotic has gone up in flames.
This 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo "burst" into flames on Friday, in the UK, shortly after eyewitnesses saw smoke billowing from the engine compartment. Although an investigation is currently underway, firemen reported the car burned more intensely because of the Gallardo's carbon fiber and alloy construction.
The £75,000 ($120,580 USD) Gallardo was a complete loss, but thankfully both occupants seem to have escaped uninjured.
As we have previously reported, this year has been bad for supercars as a Ferrari 430 burnt to the ground after an accident in Romania and a McLaren F1 spontaneously combusted in California.
