From a tech perspective, very nice and the interior is beautiful. However I have never liked Acuras due to their long front overhangs. Hopefully Acura can get this right. An interesting concept.

Ughh...the term "center of gravity" must mean nothing to crossover designers. I will never understand these vehicles.

This is the illegitimate son of a Dacia Logan and of a Nissan 350Z

The funny thing is both the Logan and 350Z look much better than this! :))

I think "crossover" is a loose term. I've notice what the industry calls a crossover is the same size as a 94 Chevy Blazer and that was called a SUV so does anyone know why companies are quick to slap that name on something that? Some of these cars or "crossovers" are nothing more than stylish station wagons with a higher ride height. Does it even matter what the car is classified as(SUV,Crossover,Tourer)I mean does that really effect the consumers decision to purchase a vehicle? Someone please enlighten me.

I think SUVs are typically refered to as vehicles with a body-on frame construction, similar to a truck. For instance, the Blazer is based on the S10. A crossover is exactly as you said: "stylish station wagons with a higher ride height." They are based on cars and typically have unibody construction. The advantages of a crossover are a more compliant ride and better handling characteristics when compared to a traditional truck based SUV.
Where my confusion lies is why people want to buy these in the first place. Just buy the car that the crossover is based on and enjoy a lower CG and much better handling, not to mention better fuel mileage, acceleration, and the list goes on. SUVs have their place with high towing capacities thanks to the truck chassis. These crossovers, however, seem like vehciles suffering from an identity crisis; they can't tow hardly anything and don't have any advantages over a car's vehicle dynamics.

I feel the same way Lemon. Either get a truck or car. It was a lot more simple in the 90's. Thanks for clearing that up for me i appretiate that.

The crossover is for the American suburban soccer mom. It doesn't need to tow anything. It doesn't need to have off-road capability. It DOES need to ride smooth and quiet. It DOES need to be tall for a commanding view of the road. And, it needs to have more flexible cargo space than a sedan.
