They would have kept it even lighter than the standard Type R if they ditched that awful rear wing :p

I love how this Civic looks. I would like it even more if they kept the better looking stock Type R spoiler.

I wonder how Type R, or Mugen RR, can defeat FWD super class like Ford Focus RS & Mazda MPS 3. Mini JCW and 500C Abath are pobably quicker in some ways too.

I believe Honda has only one RWD car and that's the S2000. Why not also make this type R RWD. Many people would appreciate the car right ?

Typical Honda, not bad but if they really want to take market share away from the Subaru WRXs, Evos and like they need it to be RWD or All wheel drive. Power is nothing if you cannot put it to the ground. A great example of this is the FWD Dodge SRT4, wheel spin all the way through 2nd.
But, it will be a great car for people who like the RICE look. Personally, I will stick with my All Wheel Drive WRX pushing 320whp. Boost and all wheel drive is where it is at.

Let's hope it will retain the independant suspension on the rear like the JDM (& NA Si), rather than current torsion beams.

They've got a lot of work to do to boost the torque on this car... terribly low stock, but nonetheless, on the track is does seem to do well in the hands of a decent driver.
