BMWs are just getting uglier and uglier, poor proportions and detailing, the best interior for a while though.

the X1 is uglier than the X3?! are you serious?! i was shocked with how bad the X3 looked, but this car is quite nice. definately not ugly.

I think BMW will offer the xDrive23d version of the X1 in the USA market, especially with the new Obama Administration fuel economy mandates.

It is a nice looking car, that will fit into BMWs line up nicely. BUT it doesnt have that BMW contriversy - were is the crazy design feature?? That is what made me love BMW

because Chris Bangle was gone...that's why! now their new designs are...plain, ugly, no character at all. just look at this stupid X1...i thought i was looking at a new Pontiac Aztek!

the car looks really, really small especially in the photo where that guy is putting in his surfboard! how the heck will the thing fit? and either that guy is too tall or the car is too small.
but the interior is super nice though...

Firstly: this car was designed when Chris Bangle was working for BMW, as well as a few future models (new 5 series F10 i.e.). Secondly: I like it. I don't know why, obviously it's not a looker, but it has something that attracts my atention.

please double check your info. started from new 7 & Z4, designs are NOT coming from Chris Bangle's influrences. the designs language at BMW is totally different since then.

Yawn..! Another small(er) SUV. And who approved the boring design. X1, X3, X5, X6, 5Series GT, 3 Series GT.... the list of similar automobiles in BMW portfolio goes on and on. give me a break and for a change do something different. BMW, you are losing your fan base quickly. I am no longer a BMW owner and remain only a reluctant fan now.

I agree that the car is not among other pretty BMW models but I don't think you were a BMW fan. As a matter of fact, a fan is someone who supports someone/something no matter how tough he/she has to go through. Every BMW fan owns a BMW but not every BMW owner is a BMW fan. With no offense but you're just a BMW owner.

agreed... it looks very agressive muscular best lookin suv in the range, as long as it performs like a beemer then i think bmw may well be moving in the right direction again
