It really is the automotive equivalent of a Lego person.

ROFL at the lego reference or maybe it's Gumby's new car (the name is 100% in sync lol) ... this beast is just pig UGLY ... seeing this article and the JOSS on the same day presents two options with very similar performance at completely opposite ends of the design spectrum ... Joss = 10 while Gumbert = 2

that's a purpose built tool, it's not meant to look pretty, that's the beauty of it.

I dunno, I think it's gorgeous. While other super car's try to get a smooth flowing look this is one of the few truly unique super cars that sticks a middle finger up at conventional aesthetics.

Ugly?!!! this car is the dream car of my childhood! It looks like a spaceship. Bold, ridiculous lines and great speed. What could be better?

It's funny how some car makers have so much 'credit' while others can never do anything good style wise. The fact that it is fast (no argument there) is no excuse for being so ugly. It as if they did it deliberately. Even pure racecars (I mean not intended for any road use) are rarely as ugly as this. Off all the latest supercars from big and small car makers, this is by far the ugliest. Koenigsegg for example is so pure and clean and you can arguably call it slow. I'm very curious to see sales numbers comparison for all those supercars of the last 5 years, especially the ones by 'marginal' (not in the sense of capable) makers...

@ Get_real, "as if they did it deliberately" it wasn't their decision, it's pure downforce maths that created this form. they didn't put in any effort to make it look good, it's pure engineering and that makes it beautiful in every driving enthusiast's eyes. get another car for your posing-in-front-of-the-club needs. the Apollo is built for thrills on the track.

Well scratchy, you completely missed my point. I'm a driving enthusiast. That doesn't mean I have to take butt-ugly looks. Acceptable looks and stellar performance are not mutually exclusive! There are plenty examples... Do you really think this 'thing' beats everything else on the market too such an extent that they are excused to make it so ugly??

a driving enthusiast cares about driving, not fashion or looks or whatever. looks are subjective anyway, i think this car's "nonchalant ugliness" makes it look way cooler than any other car on this planet. you think this car is ugly, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

scratchy is right they didnt care what it looked like when they built it as long as it served its purpose and it does!!!

Ugly or not, when its at speed it'll just be a yellow blur anyway. So who cares if its ugly enough to give my niece nightmares. Its a time attack car, point final.
