otherwise they could have added another 25hp and called it GT750(muuuuuch cooler):)

It looks like GT500 is now really just a model name since the base 2010 GT500 now makes 540hp, doesn't that make it a GT540? :b

540? wow! that big differense!? didnt top gear made a test and fund out that it had "only" 470hp? (the show when they compared it with the old one (hamster did))

Yes, Top Gear tested the previous GT500.
They got a lower hp reading than the specified 500hp because what they tested was the "rear wheel horsepower".
