Nice - any ideas when either of these could come the North America? Specifically in the X5?

Hope this comes out soon so poor old me can pick one up for something I can afford in 3 years time :) 600nm torque... I was gunning for the 135i petrol, but screw that, this is looking so much more tempting!

I do think BMW will offer this engine in the USA market, though it may be derated to around 290-293 bhp (SAE 08/04 net) to accommodate lower-cetane ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel sold in the USA market. It may be offered in all BMW models except the 1-Series. Wouldn't you just love the BMW X3 or X5 with this new engine? :-)
