Now this is what i call a car with great looks !! I wonder, the GM really has to go on bankruptcy to create some great cars (forced by the circumstances)? Usually i don't like the american design, "bigger and bolder is better" but this car has cool lines, a great interior (powered by Insignia?) and some cool engines. I think it will be a succes .. just like the Insignia will be in Europe!

Hmm, only 3mpg improvement it's not that much, considering that you lose 100 hp.

It would probably perform better in the real world though, with a lower capacity and cylinder count.

I loved this car when I saw it in person, I'll def be considering getting one when it comes out for sale.

Adding the 4 cly version is to meet Average CAFE regulations. Also, the car might be okay looking but do you know that the average age of Buick buyer is some 65-69 yrs old. That is freaky for any brand. This model is not going to change that. What could is a Buick version of Pontiac G8, a Buick version of say Pontiac Vibe and a Buick version of Saturn Aura/Opel Insignia. LaCrosse name needs to be dumped. LaCrosse smells like 80 yrs old leather skin Reno white couple who spend their afternoons and evenings in the crapy Reno casinos and mornings at Silver Diner or IHOP.

Nice looking ride. Hopefully GM can make Buick appeal to younger people as they did with Cadillac. This looks like a good start.... but I agree the G8 could do an even better job....call it a Grand National...GXP=GNX. I can see it now...

For GM's sake, they better not have "dummied" down the mechanicals (esp suspension) for the "traditional" Buick driver. If so, find another group to market it to.

Looks good, but is there every going to be a rearwheel drive buick? Like the Pontiac G8 or crown victoria?

The exterior looks nice and sporty with big wheels, low profile tires, integrated exhaust and strong side character lines. BUT look at that interior, it not that the design of it is bad... but whats with all the glossy wood, the ivory leather and the brown steering wheel+dash, looks very... Senior Citizen. Imagine the same interior replacing the wood with half stainless steel and half black piano wood, and change the ivory leather with black leather and alcantara matched with white stitching. Thats how you should do it.

Does anyone else think the front resembles a Hyundai Genesis while the back very strongly resembles a BMW 5-series. These traits are almost similar in the typical Chinese copycat manner - perhaps appropriate and intentional given Buick's success there?

REALLY! Everyone here thinks this is a "great looking car?" A step up from the past, but still looks like it will get lost amongst all the other sedans on the road. And what's with the Cadillac crease down the middle? Differentiate the brands to make them stronger, not liken them. The whole reason GM is having to cut brands now.
