Porsche Cayenne by Status Design

Moscow-based design studio has come up with this 'body-whale' kit for the Cayenne

A Moscow tuning studio has come up with this.

Status Design has released this picture of their re-imagining of the Porsche Cayenne. They call it the body-whale, although, it looks more like some kind of stylish vacuum cleaner or another design-happy home appliance.

The term body-whale is obviously meant to invoke some kind of marine-animal sense of sleekness and power but the design doesn't really seem to match that. The front end actually looks a little like a Peugeot, with a few extra levels to the four-tiered grille. And what about that grille? It looks like a Venetian blind.

The Russian tuning studio tells us the body kit is made out of high-quality plastic and carbon. Which hints at the notion that this thing will actually be made some day.

The good news is, though, that as of now, it's still only a rendering that is due to be published this fall.

Go ahead, have your say.

"tuning studio"!? Are they implying their work is art? Mucho LOL! What's next, Creative Tuning Artistic Studio!? As a side note, I sure hope they put some custom/original rims on that, not Rinspeed rims.... At least that would make it a horrible car with decent wheels!

This is one of the best body kits I have ever seen. What do you think the price would be if it came out? At least $8000 USD?

I think Porsche must have a hand in all these rebodied Cayennes. You think the original car is ugly? Well check these mothers out!

This car re-defines ugly. And I really am not joking here, the design is terrible. Who on earth though this design would ever work on a Cayenne, let alone any other car?

Who is the r*tard behind this thing? And even more important, who is the r*tard who will drive it? Waste of time, money and a decent car.

'whale' is meant to evoke sleekness?? in english it tends to suggest huge and blubbery. As in "she's like a whale" is not a compliment
