Here are a series of spy-shots of the upcoming VW Caddy facelift, with our trusted Caddy wearing a face mask as if its afraid of catching the swine flu.
The masking is intended to hide the new features of the Caddy, but it's pretty easy to imagine what it looks like, given that VW will be bringing the Caddy's design in line with the new Volkswagen face as seen on the Polo and Golf models.
These spy shots were snapped as the Caddy was doing some huffing and puffing testing somewhere in the Austrian Alps. According to our spy photographers, VW seems to be studying how the new front end handles its engine cooling responsibilities.
What else will be new on the Caddy is a matter of guesswork. There may be more engine choices added to the range and perhaps an interior upgrading as well. And VW is obviously attempting to add some styling appeal to its more utility-oriented vehicles as we've seen on the upcoming Amarok pickup truck, so definitely expect to see a more snazzy Caddy.
The new VW Caddy is likely to debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September.
