If that ain't a hot car, I don't know what is. It should be such a shame to get a scratch on the paint!

Agreed, it sort of devalues the car when there are so many differed "special" editions. They might as well have given each car a different moniker, it's pretty silly.

i agree, just look at how many edition of lotus elise/exige there is. it is a shame how a company lets its marketing department push die hard fans to the very edge. it exposes the vw in bugatti really

It's not chrome, it's the car's aluminium body work polished or finished with a clear coat, don't remember the details. The coloured sections are the carbon fibre bits.

300 MPH?!?!?! DAM, that's fast. Are they sure that there was not a rocket straped to that Bugatti T39A? because that was pretty fast for that time. Hell, that's pretty dam fast for cars today.

It wasn't the T39 that hit 300, that would be a little optimistic of it's capabilities, even for a French historian.

ahem, the article states that sir malcolm campbell drove over 300mph, not in the bugatti... he merely won a race in that.
sorry to be pedantic ;-P

I finally got a really close up look at two this past weekend. I have to say, hands down, the Veyron is the epitome of modern automotive craftsmanship. Timeless design, excellent materials matching, excellent build quality, just a true concours machine. And I say this as a Bentley Flying Spur Speed, Brooklands, and Azure were all in the same showroom. Even the Bentleys just can't touch it.

Well, VW wouldn't be too clever if they let Bentleys outstrip the quality of their top dog, now would they?
