The new facelift Hyundai Verna Transform has been launched in South Korea. The Verna is known around the world as the Accent. Several upgrades, both inside and out, have been made to "transform" the vehicle into something fresher.
The front bumper has been tweaked, the front grille is changed, new headlights and side mirror repeaters were installed. The rear bumper was also reconstructed and tail lights were redesigned.
The interior has been beefed up by equipment like USB/ Auxiliary inputs for music lovers, a standard PowerBass subwoofer, Bluetooth connectivity and new blue instrumentation lighting replacing the current green lights. Its centre console gets a facelift as well.
Hyundai says the engines will come standard with the ECO Assist system which helps drivers drive more economically. In general all the engines will feature improvements in economy.
Prices are set in the local South Korean Won. The base 1.4 Trendy model goes for 9.73 million Won (US$7,900) while customers will pay 13.74 million Won (US$11,200) for the diesel 1.5 Premier. North America should get this facelift as a 2010 model.
