The new facelift Hyundai Verna Transform has been launched in South Korea. The Verna is known around the world as the Accent. Several upgrades, both inside and out, have been made to "transform" the vehicle into something fresher.

The front bumper has been tweaked, the front grille is changed, new headlights and side mirror repeaters were installed. The rear bumper was also reconstructed and tail lights were redesigned.

The interior has been beefed up by equipment like USB/ Auxiliary inputs for music lovers, a standard PowerBass subwoofer, Bluetooth connectivity and new blue instrumentation lighting replacing the current green lights. Its centre console gets a facelift as well.

Hyundai says the engines will come standard with the ECO Assist system which helps drivers drive more economically. In general all the engines will feature improvements in economy.

Prices are set in the local South Korean Won. The base 1.4 Trendy model goes for 9.73 million Won (US$7,900) while customers will pay 13.74 million Won (US$11,200) for the diesel 1.5 Premier. North America should get this facelift as a 2010 model.

And why aren't there any full pictures of the rear? That's right, billy, because they've left it EXACTLY THE SAME! Lazy Hyundai...

wow, now that is just lame... hyundai was doing so well lately... but this is plain ugly... hope that front end does not translate into the brand's new design language for all future vehicles... or worse, that this new design is part of a new trend in hyundai of losing the 'family face' feel altogether, leaving cars completely different of each other, just like it was in the early nineties... but i guess the accent is no longer the company's global car... or is it just wishful thinking? come on, hyundai... you know how to make it right!

Was a POS to begin with, has become worse.... Hyundai's been taking things too easy of late, hope they get a shock & wake up from their slumber

Maybe if they gave girls along with this car then it wouldn't be a problem with this ugly design.

No-so-pretty car I see. Looks like a Impreza Sedan that looks even uglier with a weirder name.

The sign that the girl is holding translates: "I'm going to shoot my perfect breast if you don't buy a Verna!" :D

guys, that's why it called "facelift"... it's NOT all-new.

So Hyundai is using the "Transform" moniker for all their face-lifted cars now. I don't see the point of this car in the Hyundai line-up anymore. No one buys it in the home market. It's in an awkward position...scrunched in between a Kia Morning/Picanto and the Avante/I30

BTW...nice breasts!
