Ther german magazine "Auto, Motor & Sport" (AMS) is in my eyes the best informed source for informations about german cars. According to AMS the new A8 has been delayed and will be presented at Geneva in March 2010. So the only new cars of Audi at the IAA are the new A5 Sportback and the new R8 spyder, both are niche models. Not much for such an important car show at the home market. I still believe, that we will see a concept car from audi. May be a first view on the new R4 mid-engine sports-car? May be with electric engine?

we will see the Audi 4-door-coupe (a5 sportback or whatever) before IAA! I believe around the middle of June or something close. The Q3 is also coming this year, maybe only as a concept but since the mule testing of the production version Q3 is going on now, I guess we will see the car latest in 2010. I would be very very surprised if we don't see the brand new A8 this year...

You know, for me, the R8 isn't really all that special; it's one saving grace was that it looked astonishing, but now Maserati has come out with the new GranTurismo as a competitor, suddenly the R8 isn't the best looking car in that part of the market. With the title of best looking low-end supercar/high-end sportscar gone, all that's left is a hasbeen wannabe Gallardo with a cheaper badge..

looks are subjective. for me every Maserati looks like puke with diarrhea topping and are just expensive Fiats, Ferrari wannabes with a cheaper badge...

Well they probably create an all new generation of Audi's Aluminum Space Frame concept car, hinting on next year's A8 and a full production car launch in Geneva. But I doubt the new car is a full model change. Probably an evolution of the current car with a new design language.
