Yeah, what we need is a Stripped out M3 CSL. But don't you think a GT3 RS benchmark for this sort of car is a bit too high?

when BMW presented the first M3 CSL concept they said there was no market for it, then a German TV station(don't remember which one) gathered tens of thousands of letters and sent them to BMW, showing them that people actually liked the idea. a M3 CSL seems more logical than X5M and X6M anyway.

Well, how many "ricers" are out there, compared to families, single business-men etc...the market for a CSL is very small. And the X6M and X5M will make them money because they do not have to change much, just put an engine in and stiffen up the suspension...a CSL is a track ready car...i dont think BMW made much of a profit on em, and at this time, I dont think they could get away with it...but they should try!
