With the Tokyo Motor Show less than six months away, new details have emerged about the production version of the Lexus LF-A.
According to a recent report from AutoExpress, the car will boast a 4.8-liter V10 engine with over 550 bhp which will enable it to hit a top speed of 218 mph. This means the upcoming supercar will offer similar performance figures to much more prestigious exotics such as the Ferrari 599 GTB and Lamborghini's Murcielago LP640.
Unlike the prototype LF-As which competed unsuccessfully at the 24 hours of Nürburgring (one finished 87th overall while the other caught on fire), the production version will feature revised styling with noticeable changes to the front bumper, headlights, and grille.
Expected to cost somewhere between £140,000 ($194,000 USD) and £190,000 ($263,000 USD), the LF-A and it's rumored high performance variant could be limited to 500 units.
