what a fantastic race that was, the R8s proved to be decent challengers of the 911s and they were leading after 19hours until the tranny cracked. will be fantastic next year. seems to be a great family atmosphere, very down to earth.

the first couple of laps, when the RSR was battling with the Ford GT were legendary, a piece of art! How come we dont see any kits from Manthey?

i think manthey is dedicated to racing and that´s pretty much it then, no huge interest in a big street legal program of the 911. the RSR (esp. the rear) looks fabulous by the way. most impressive were the race-cam pictures from the helicopter. they were just spectacular and imagine the fastest ones lapped the Ring at ~8:50 around midnite! simply insane..

Why haven´t we seen one of these ultrafast Nissan GT-Rs and Lexus LF-As in the top rankings? I think we again saw, who is the true king of the ring... Regarding Manthey: They have of course a street legal program of 911s at http://www.manthey-motors.de/

of course Porsche is still the King of the Ring. manthey just sell carbon details no kits like techart, sportec, gemballa, speedart etc and no RSR outfits etc.

Wow... you expected to see a Nissan GT-R in the top rankings when there wasn't even a GT-R in the race? Talk about a monumental stretch. The only Nissans in the race were Z cars, and those are no match for any 911, let alone GT3 RSRs. I guess it must be kinda fun being a fanboy, but try to be sensible & objective, ok? I dunno what to say about the Lexus LF-As though... what a disappointing outing. If this is indicative of it's projected real world performance & reliability, Toyota might be better off letting it gather dust in the back of the factory somewhere...

jamaican... you're terribly wrong. The Falken Nissan 350Z came in 11th, in front of many, many Porsche GT3. So much about being objective ;) The LF-As came in 83th or so, the IS-F was faster though. But as the LF-As had really fast qualifying laptimes,I guess there were some reliability issues. (qualifying ranks were 23 + 24 for the LF-As, and 39 for the Falken 350Z)

And what could the GTR do??? If it want's to race it have too lose it's 4wd, and without it's 4wd it's worth nothing; see the GT2-series where it compete
