The interior and the engine (the V8 TT) really save this car. If only the back weren't so ugly. BMW have really backed themselves into a design corner.

This car is of course innovative in terms of shape and function and it is even courageous for BMW to introduce it to the market.
Let the market be the final arbiter.

The rear end is hard on the eyes. However, BMW is known to be innovative and this is just another example. I'm sure others will follow.

The interior instruments and controls look like they are from the all new 7 Series! Isn't that a bad idea to give a car that is anywhere from $20-40,000 less the same interior as BMS's Flagship? While it's not 100% ugly, it is just a pointless as the MBZ R-Class. Didn't BMW reasearch how horrible the R sells??

I'm a member of BMWCCA, I'm a fan of BMW. But I dont quite 'get' this car and I may never. Is it an alternative to something aside from the Toyota Venza? I would have thought it was more of a family hauler, perhaps a replacement for the 5 wagon, but then they threw in the rear bucket seats and I just don't know what to think.
My guess, its for the retired country club set who need golf club space and room for another couple? Eh.

I don't think there isn't one picture that makes this car look good.
But I have an idea! Take a picture of it in a place with no street lights, and leave the car lights off. And we have solved the problem.

Where is the normal 218/272 hp L6???? Has it not enough power for this, probbely heavy car. It certainly hasn't to do enything with the fuelconsumption of them, since the are way more economical than the turbo version, maby it comes later
