Next Gen VW Touran MPV Mule First Spy Photos

WCF is wrong. This isn't a completely new Touran! In fact it is the 2nd Facelift including whole new front design with the new look, new interiour. It is still the same chassie, but a slighty refreshed look and feel.

WCF is also wrong when they say that the Touran will use the 1.9l Tdi. It will use the new 1.6l Tdi. And i wouldn't bet on the 1.6L petrol either.

..and further...VW only rebodies the Chrysler Minivans and then sells them in the USA under their own name...

Looks like VW are putting that front end style from the Golf VI on everything car in the range. Imagine a Phaeton with it, Eeek!

For those ones saying the Routan is not based on the Town and Contry... with all respect, but are you blind??? There are articles in WCF and tons out in the internet showing that they VW and Chrysler are sharing platforms for the minivan. Just compare the two vehicles inside and out and you will notice SEVERAL indications that they're pretty much the same!! com'on!! And is not VW first attempt of doing something like this. Just look the plans they have for their next pick-up, based on the TOYOTA HILUX!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES! In this global based economy, car companies are looking for better ways to get better products out to the public and save money on production, if this makes sense.

BENZian...Thank you. It's about time another American speaks up. It seems that every one is ready to bash American cars but forget that our road system is not suited to the majority of European cars. Tiny little cars don't work here. Diesels are great but because diesel is taxed so much here (for commercial trucks) they don't sell well. If all of the European brands were doing so well why aren't they still operating in the largest market? What happened to Renault, Fiat, Alfa, MG, Rover, etc... Fiat is doing so well now because they forced GM to pay 2 billion or they would have to have baught Fiat. Remember that VW nearly blew it in the States because of the Rabbit and Audi alsmost pulled out because of the 5000. American companies might have produced gas guzzlers but they were selling. Oh, Porsche's best selling model...the Cayenne a large gas guzzling SUV (thanks America for making the near VW takeover possible).

maybe YOU should open YOUR eyes... this is the TouRan, not the RouTan. Completely different cars. And VW did have a Toyota based pick up.. in the 90s. The Taro. Huge flop. The new one is a in-house development.

FP23 I agree with you, do you think this "new" Touran will be better than the current one?

i think that the vw touran should be sold in the U.S. because vw always make good cars and it would do very well in the U.S. also, because since it was in toyko drift, sales would rapidly increase.

Will nt gen Touran offer 4motion? It would be a fantastic every day car for families around the northern and southern parts of the globe.
