Nice, clean package. Makes the car look more agressive.

I am a really big fan of hot hatchbacks, but this is too plain for my liking. If this is previewing the real GTI, it would just be a stock polo with some deco's on the outside, and a not-so-fast engine. I hope they don't do another thing like the Golf MKIV GTI.

Exactly what they did for the Polo GTI at present: it's a farce and a total and utter bastardisation of the label. Twin tailipipes, grill, badge and 17" wheels - and that was it. Doesn't look all that different this time around. BUT this iteration of the Polo will be a completely new chassis and utlising the 1.6 litre twin-turbo, the present Polo GTI the crappy 1.8 litre turbo that's been out for over a decade.

That 1.8T was a 20V or 5V/ cylinder. These tuners are pretty lasy, I was expecting at lest 170 hp, it's just the outside they do

Well if you think about, what is the polo designed for? The city and what is there alot of in the city - trafic. This means that you dont use alot of power becuase you are stuck in traffic. So you want a small cheap to run engine that wont drink alot of petrol. But you want the look of a GTi. I think that it is a very smart move of VW

1.4 with only 83hp? That sucks... other companies' 1.2 engines are stronger!
