Mercedes-Benz's highly anticipated SLS AMG supercar has once again been spotted by our spy photographers.

While we've already seen this particular mule before, our spies have managed to take additional pictures which show a better view of the grille, headlights, and rear end. Although they were unable to get a glimpse of the interior, Mercedes already released official press photos of the SLS cockpit last month.

As previously reported, the new supercar features a naturally aspirated front mid-mounted 6.2-liter V8 engine which produces 571 hp (420 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to the combination of a powerful engine and an advanced seven-speed double clutch transmission, the SLS AMG Gullwing rockets from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph).

Expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the SLS AMG Gullwing will go on sale next year with a base price somewhere in the neighborhood of €150,000.

Why do its headlights look like LED'd-up 350Z ones?

It doesn't appear have anywhere near the road-presence of the SLR. :(

I guess that's what people pay the extra €200,000 for.

Now it's quite certain that this'll not be a good looking car.

@nederina:

BMW is no near building it! either with whatever exotic...simply BMW cannot put a 150k € sticker on a car with BMW badge....like VW couldn`t do it with 100k!! BMW learned from the past that they are one of the best in a range from 20-80K € bu over or belove it they don`t dare! When they tried they burned themselves...Z8, 8-series,...etc so that is also the reason to not built M7 or very potent SLR opponent or oponnent to SL65 AMG, also they won`t do the R8 rival etc.

BMW is good when you`re bored in your VW and after that you don`t have enough money for Mercedes-AMG :)

Period.

i totally agree with you. we'll see how it goes and there was a moment that the germans was teasing us with their M1 homage concept, hoping to produce a mid engined car with the knowledge from the formula one - kers?. maybe it is time to leave the fia madness and focus more on its ultimate driving machine. crucially.. they too could also participate in le mans in this. well it is just my fair view

I guess you don't mean BMW F1 KERS .... right? BMW F1 car and KERS are such a garbage

Now i can see like what will be the rear. They have the ace they learn mistakes on Slr.What about BMW,now it's not best time for entering all new and expesive product..In sveral time you will hear that the Bmw and Porshce VW group are less suffered as a result of crisis.I think so

I wonder whether that R8 in the back is owned by MB, and used as a milestone to overcome by the SLS. Can´t wait to see the car though, so far it looks amazing.

Really, the only thing I don't like about this car is that is hasn't got a manual gearbox and I think the trunk flap is too big. Great car, weird that in my country an SLR costed 614.000 euros and the convertible 670.000 and this just 150.000!

i like the fact that it is not bolted or overly aggressive like most other supercars... it's all about performance, class and luxury, not showing off. not a car for the hip hop crew, definetely.

you hit the nail on the head in regards to Gullwing. Cant wait to see the finished product and make room in the garage next to my SL 63 for it.

have to agree with politz Class will always win out. this is going to be a beautiful car and I think a more daily livable car than most of the "supercars" out there today. Cant wait to see one in silver/Black to match my SL 63 need a bigger garage LOL
