Ok.... Looks boring, it's not ugly, and has a clean shape. Yep, it's definately an Astra.
Is it me, or am I the only one that just wants to see the VXR version?

exactly... if this is boring what can you say about Golf MK6??? And I realy don't care if it looks a bit like Mazda as some say... So... Golf, Focus, Megane, 308, etc, watch out... the Astra storm is coming and if we look at Insignia's success (more than 100000 orders) I'm sure this one will be a hot hatch hit... and I already want one to replace mine... GTC only please... and sooner please

The Golf and the Astra are both boring. What's so hard about that? They're the Camry and Accord of Europe.

Looks very restrained (boring in my book), which is a shame since the last Astra was such a stunner. Also, there's little linkage between the two designs, which is sad...

The 4th pic looks very previous gen Mazda 3... I think that the current Astra looks better than this one. And yes i agree it does look boring

I have looked at the pictures some more and it looks dated already, Personally i think it looks like some concept from '03 - That isnt in a good way. Such a shame the Astra is a nice looking car...

Interesting looking car. I wouldn't call it boring - for the rear end is kind of challenging.
Anyways still a lot of time to pass till rollout in autumn 2010.

Some styling appears to be recycled from Japanese makes Mazda and Nissan - The liftback handle area is very Nissan. Look, I don't agree that the styling is boring. I would say, safe or reserved. It's not ugly.

I agree that there is a lot of the mazda 3 in the rear styling. A very restrained design overall though. I can't wait to see the VXR/OPC version - based on what the hot Insignia looks like, it'll be a beautiful, impressive beast too!

Standard car from a standard company... they ought to be bold and come up with something totally different and amazing instead of all these lifeless 'things' they call a car... I think it's one more nail to their coffin :-)

It's not outstanding but it looks OK. I think anyone would have a Focus or a Golf first though.
