we'll have to wait for Top Gear to test the cars. Ring times are unofficial, depend on too many variables and irrelevant.

I love this car so much. I also can't wait to see how this GT3 matches up with the GTR around the Nurburgring ring

Great sounding and great looking car :)
@jalaad123:
Won't be faster than GT-R, because the standard GT3 barely touched 7:40, the RS version won't be 10s faster.
Just compare "old" 997 GT3 to RS ;)

The GTR is better around the corner.
so they removed the scafolding in the back thats why it's lighter lol. BTW, why porsche not making an RS version from the cayenne and put the scafolding tubes in the back instead of the GT3?

Wait for Top Gear for a test? Are you serious? They must be the most subjective journo's around...

The GT2 already nailed the GTR around the track and nissan was spurring so much BS about the GTR. Im sure the RS could take on the GTR.

Honestly, read this. The GTR can beat the 997 911 GT3, but not by much, the GT3 is slower than the 911 Turbo, the GTR's intended target, he GTR can beat the Turbo half the time. So Nissan decided to take on the GT2, around the ring they succeeded, BUT, those were at different times of day and the weather AND drivers were different. Put the 2 cars in the hands of the same driver, and the GT2 will NAIL the GTR, the Turbo trailing the pack behind them. The GTR was faclifted with 5 extra horses. GTR = 485BHP GT2 = 530BHP Turbo = 480 BHP. Big differences, but their is a catch, the Turbo and GT2 didn't recieve a facelift, better yet, the 998 model year. Now lests review the specs.
SPECS by 2013
GTR = 510 GT3 = 465BHP Turbo = 530 GT2 = 550BHP
Porsche is boss in ALL territories now. So just wait. The clock is ticking for Porsche. Soon, they will be back at the top of the food chain.....

the gt-r is only good around the ring..and autocar magazine confirm it to be a car designed at being very good on long windy corners. look for videos with the gt-r on short twist roads, videos of the gt-r doing the famous japanese 'touge' route and gt-r performance is very dissapointing. the car looks heavy and cumbersome. then video up f430 touge....massive difference that shows the gt-r's weakness.

The GTR horsepower ranges between 465HP & 507HP because they make each engine and gearbox slightly differently so if you break the 3.6L you get another GTR engine and it doesn't work.
