The Ghost is alive again.

Just over a year ago Rolls-Royce's upcoming "small car" appeared in the media. Shortly thereafter came the first spy photos, heavily dressed with false plastic panels and internally named RR4 - the fourth Rolls since BMW took over the classic car manufacturer. At the Geneva motor show in March the RR4 was shown as a concept named 200EX, and then just a few weeks ago it was revealed that the car's real name will be Ghost - a classic model of a luxury wagon that was produced between 1906 and 1925.

Since the finalized car is most likely to appear in Frankfurt in September, Rolls-Royce is in a hurry to complete it. Today the car appeared again in Munich with less camouflage than ever before. We can now see the entire front and rear lights, but also the little side window in front of the C-pillar was revealed today - on another otherwise more disguised car. As for the front, we see that the car in the pictures is more or less exactly consistent with how the front of the 200EX concept looks like. Clearly the arrangements have drawn inspiration from big brother Phantom.

Although Rolls-Royce Ghost is called Baby-Rolls, it's still a big car. Ghost is based on the same platform as the new BMW 7-series, however, its extended to be able to carry the 5.4 meter long body. It is 33 centimeters longer than the BMW 7-series (19 cm longer than a long-version). The wheel base is on the whole 3.3 meters and the car is 1.95 meters wide and 1.55 meters high. Under the hood we find a new developed 6.6 liter V12 equipped with twin turbos delivering 544 hp and 750 Nm. The engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic from ZF.

Rolls-Royce is expected to double its sales figures when the new Ghost hits the market.

Agree with you it looks like 300C in those pics BTW, in 2005 Merc came with the world first 7 speed gear box, in 2007 lexus came with an 8 speed transmition in the LS460 followed by BMW in the 09 750, i wonder who will be the first of making a 9 speed Transmittion?

@BenzBoy @Grave This Rolls does NOT look anything like the Chrysler 300C. Incidentally I almost bought a 300C! Not sure why WCF is publishing theses photos as final shots of the Rolls have already been revealed and, imo, is a very nice looking car.

"Not sure why WCF is publishing theses photos as final shots of the Rolls have already been revealed" The model that was unveiled is the near production concept version called the "200EX". I guess some trim/details could still change on the production version.

It looks lower than a phantom, that's good because a phantom is as tall as an x3
