I think it's called evolution, we called pure insanity the 1st car with 1000hp, we will get use to this too.

True that:) Somehow, as much as I would love to see this car achieving all the stated figures, I cannot really believe that it will.. I mean 2500+hp, 250mph in 17.5 seconds??Holy..
May 8, 2009 8:54 pm
umm...cops will follow this car waiting for the driver to tap the accelerator a little too much
May 8, 2009 9:01 pm
Then the driver blows them away in just 200ms due to how much faster this car will be. Even if its slightly slower than Mosler is trying for...the Cops in any state or country won't touch this unless they have a Veyron on hand.

This is the most incredible thing I have ever seen. If this can really produce the figures they say it will, then I'm completely awestruck.

please dont tell me the car in the background is being parted out for this rocket

That is actually my car. I left it there overnight because I took a cab home after leaving the bar next door. Please do not insult.

i like the honesty of this article attacking boastful claims. build it and then talk. 2500 seems very sceptical, a lie even until i read NRE or nelson racing engines. those guys are just horsepower mad. they have a normally aspirated 11,000cc (11liters!) 1,100 hp engine for sale as a crate motor.

They talk about these figures because there are a few thousand drag racers in America with Twin Turbo big block chevy motors that push 1800+hp on 26psi or so...its highly realistic then that an actual car company, Mosler can build a motor with more power, more boost and more reliability.

the crate motor producing that much power is insane, with turbos and other mods i see it is possible.so many thing you can do to a motor that can already handle that much power.

these cars are produced in my home town area of palm beach county fl.

mr "gocha", i want to ask u a question. after you, you developed, planned and mabe created..truly created this car, have u asked urslef "how can i f.ck it up?" cause i think u did, no offense. why did u had to ruin it's slim pornstar ass, by thorwing some 7.1 dolby, and some crappy pc...and other computer geek equipment, into it? i promise u sir, if u can give 3 logical reasons, i will go to the hospital and sell my heart, litteraly and buy ur first production mosler. (if the heart would cover the expenses of course..) and i would buy it with ur 7.1 ....whatever.
neverrrtheeelleeesss..... awesome car, awesome statistics, i really hope and wih u all the best in creating it (btw nice pictures in the police parking lot :D..and also, nice no plate "AREA 51"), thoughhh, i am scheptical. i would like to see a 2500bhp car ( in my life time), but i dont think that u can put a functional and reliable tranny in it. i think the engine would blow any tranny. buuut...i know u have a lot of money, and NRE too and everyone involved in the project, and materials and maaaybbeee...u can prove me wrong. best wishes!

Im with you Norther. Cras don't need that kind of excess entrainment crap. Especially in a Mosler thats the King of lightweight.
May 9, 2009 10:36 am
17.5 seconds to reach 250mph and 9 sec 1/4 mile time?! I can't tell if this is pure awesomeness or a suicide machine....
May 9, 2009 10:08 am
It's a drag car in disguise.
Why didn't Mr. Gocha wrap the chassis around a jet engine?
May 9, 2009 10:33 am
The Chevy block even with twin turbos and in cast iron form is lighter than a Jet engine and also smaller, more compact which also allows a better center of gravity.
You're trying to be funny but still, jet engine technology is still far too crude and genuinely large to ever be used on a compact vehicle, not talking just cars.

Myself and a colleague were in Europe last year, and while at an engineering conference at one of the events, saw this cars prototype turbocharged engine, 8-speed gearbox/transaxle/AWD system on display. After about 20 minutes of attendees drooling over it, they rolled it away. The conference prohibited any photography of any kind, which upset us. It was simply a work of art. They also showed a model of a Hydrogen powered car, which is supposed to be done by 2010. IAD Racing & Development was the company, and if I had the opportunity to see that car drive down the highway, I think I would have a coronary (or two)! Too bad you can't drive it on the moon!

The car exists. Believe me, I'm in utter awe of it myself. When Mr. Gocha brought it in to us at NRG (see steering wheel photo), we couldn't stop the flow of onlookers. A group of us even watched him pull out in fears that the car would be destroyed on the dip that we call a driveway into the complex. lol
In all honesty, it's a shame that a vehicle like this exists. Only because my dreams now have to work harder to be better.

You people that fawn over this car need to do your research. The Mosler MT900 is nothing more than a vehicle to keep an ego maniacs name in public and a business enticement for the people who he is going to extract some financial gain from. There is a reason why Warren Mosler has purposely put in people who have never even had jobs before, let alone experience in the auto industry and only hires 10.00 an hour crackheads and drunks to put it together when he needs one. There is a reason why he lets the mismanagement team throw money away at a rate that would shock a corpse. The Mosler name is worthless to local bodyshops and suppliers and real car people in that area know what a joke the 'organization' is. The car isnt EPA or DOT approved and will never be. Do your research, every time you give this bloated kit car press time you are perpetuating the scam further.

I LOVE that some of the pictures were taken in a Police Station Parking lot! (It's surrounded by cop cruisers.)

Mega-powered vehicles are not all that uncommon, as I found in my web searching. Check out the links below, and you'll find some interesting technology to review.
What on Earth is next ? Have you heard of "Rocket Plane Races", which are becoming very popular with the mega-wealthy ?
After all, this is the 21st. Century :)
I Found a few more incredibly powerful beasts on the web:
