Several design sketches filed with the European Registry have surfaced which show an upcoming Mercedes E-Class limo.
While virtually nothing is known about the new limo, the pictures suggest that the car will be offered in a variety of different sizes. One particular design shows a vehicle with a modest increase in wheelbase (probably 4-6") which would likely put it on par with the S-Class. The other two designs seem to show an E-Class Pullman limousine, which our spy photographers caught back in February, with a massive stretch in wheelbase and the option of coming equipped with either four or six doors.
The E-Class Pullman limo would likely be powered by Mercedes' 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces 388 horsepower (285 kW) and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. Judging by the S600 Pullman, the car would also come equipped with a variety of luxurious features such as LCD video screens, Maybach-style folding rear tables, and individual rear seats with power adjustment.

1. if you want a limo, what's wrong with a LWB S-Class?
2. if you need 6 seats, what's wrong with something like a GL or even (God-forbid) an R-Class?
