Mini Cooper JCW F1 Special Edition Rumoured

British Racing Green color with White Pepper roof and side mirrors distinguishes this MINI John Cooper F1

BMW Group is planning a limited edition MINI to mark the 50th anniversary of the Cooper Car Company taking the F1 manufacturers crown way back in 1959.

The MINI John Cooper F1 will be distinguished by its British Racing Green non-metallic paint color, lined with two white-edged black stripes and Pepper White side mirrors and roof.

But the MINI F1 won't be as juiced as the MINI Cooper S with the John Cooper Works GP tuning kit. Details on what the tuning actually entails beyond the paint job and a few F1 markings strewn about are not yet available. MINI will likely debut the model at the MINI United event at Silverstone in May.

Motoringfile reports that the first pre-production MINI F1 rolled off the line at the automaker's Oxford plant earlier in the week and has already been spotted scurrying around.

A very limited production run of between 50 and 100 F1s is expected to definitively keep this MINI a special edition.

I hope there is a decent tune of the car, rather than it being a sticker special. I alsohope it doesn't get the hideous JCW body kit.

It will receive the JCW body kit. It's more functional than the aero kit and better looking than it's stock form. Although I prefer the looks of the aero kit.
