Good to see the Uno is back. I thought the Giugiaro original (in its day) was stylish and won the 1984 COTY. But it was not helped by terrible facelifts… The above looks like… umm…

I agree - the exterior of the original was so clean and well proportioned, and the interior was innovative, functional and cool.

:D describes the front of the artist's rendering, which sucks IMO. Why not get a 500? Looks x10 better, probabaly has a classier interior, and being lighter would make it greener.

I certainly can't see why the Panda isn't sold in those markets. It's probably as spacious as the Uno.

Myself being from Uruguay, I have the same question. A-segment cars are very rare in my neighbouring countries Argentina and Brazil. Renault built the Twingo here but the 1999 Brazilian devaluation killed the process. This Uno seems to be an enlarged Panda. I guess that its main rivals would be the C2 and the Twingo.

that is such a big deal for fiat in brazil right now. fiat is currently the best selling automaker in the country, but none of its cars is the best selling vehicle - a title that belongs to the perenial best seller, the vw gol. the old uno is still sold over here with minor changes, and still sells like hot cakes... a new, improved model will certainly steal the top spot from the vw.
