After several teasers and a mock introduction at the Geneva Motor Show, Aston Martin has officially unveiled their highly anticipated One-77 supercar at the Concorso d'Eleganza in Lake Como, Italy.
Besides being shown for the first time in production trim, the gorgeous supercar was among one of eight entries up for the nomination of being voted the show's best concept and prototype. As expected, the One-77 ended up winning the prestigious Concorso d'Eleganza Design Award with more than 30% of the total votes cast.
The unveiling also marks our first glimpse of the new supercar's handcrafted interior which is loosely based on the DB9's cabin. A bold center console with premium metal accents dominates the cockpit as does the extensive use of carbon fiber trim. Elsewhere, the dash's contrasting pattern is echoed in the sports seats as they boast white leather upholstery with unique black mesh inserts.
Beneath the supercar's sexy hand-rolled aluminum exterior resides a massive 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces over 700 bhp. While official technical and performance data wasn't released, Aston has previously stated that the One-77 will likely weigh about 1,500 kg (3,307 lbs) and be able run from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 200 mph.
Conceived as an ultra-luxury road-going DTM style racer, the One-77 features a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque chassis and an inboard double wishbone suspension with Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve damping. Other performance equipment on the supercar includes a six-speed robotized sequential manual gearbox, a dry-sump oil system, carbon ceramic brakes, and specially developed Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

At its world debut this weekend, the Aston Martin One-77 has won the Concorso d'Eleganza Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes on the shores of Lake Como, Italy.
Following the Geneva Auto Salon in March, where the technical illustration was first shown, the rolling chassis has since been completed by hand into the first car presented at Villa d'Este this weekend.
At its first public unveiling in the perfect setting of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este, the first complete One-77 was on show. Visiting public were invited to cast their vote for the best concept and prototype. Among eight entries from around the world, the Aston Martin One-77 was voted the best in class, eclipsing the competition with more than 30% of the total votes.
Admiring crowds viewed One-77 in its entirety for the first time. The car was showcased complete with running powertrain and the never seen before, fully hand-crafted interior.
Aston Martin Chief Executive, Dr Ulrich Bez said: "Embodying everything Aston Martin stands for; the One-77 has proven itself as the most desirable automotive art form at its premiere today.
"We have achieved a new level of design and craftsmanship which has been clearly recognised by the public here in the homeland of design at Villa d'Este."
Aston Martin Design Director, Marek Reichman said: "To win this award at its first showing is a testament to the Aston Martin team and the original concept. Winning here today has proven One-77 as a benchmark in automotive design."

Not 1.2 mil., nonetheless, absolutely stunning.
You can't drive this over speed humps, so, just like the Alfa 8C as Clarkson says; this might end up better as a poster.

----007 Spoiler Alert---- watch out----
I almost cried when James Bond crashed his DBS in the first scene in the movie,,, that Bond mobile is just breath taking!!!
A pretty girlfriend once said that when she sees a man who drives an Aston Martin, she sees him as an extremely gorgeous man who stands out in any crowd. A man with style and taste who really knows what he wants and truly understands what is called 'the best'. And she also said that, if she sees a man who drives a Merc, she sees him as man who is trying hard to prove something out of nothing. Dehydrated with style and taste. And whats worst but funny is she said, she sees him as a man below average(intellectually) with only slightly deeper pockets than the average. lol . Man, that hurts ! But somehow I agree with her. Well get a second opinion from your 'younger and pretty' girlfriends too !

Surely you have a better response than that? Sit down for a few hours and craft something really witty. But first go create another email acct (because I'm banning your acct again) and lets see what you have to say.
Sorry folks for taking it OT. Trolling really needs to be curbed.
