PhantASMA Wide Body Kit for Mercedes CL65

ASMA presents the CL PhantASMA65, a car based on the Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG coupe. The exterior is completely different to that of the standard vehicle to such an extent that it is hardly recognisable as something that once was a Mercedes-Benz. Perhaps that was the whole point.

Regardless, the kit fitted includes a new front end with its ASMA-style multiple grille blades and air intakes. At the rear extra air intakes are found on the new bumper. A massive air diffuser splits the four oval tailpipes nestled on either side of the car. So different is the look that ASMA reckons Pablo Picasso himself could have designed it.

The PhantASMA65 runs on shiny 22-inch wheels both front and rear while the tyres are 255/30 ZR 22 up front and 295/25 ZR 22 on the rear axle. The car's chassis has been lowered by some 35mm.

The V12 bi-turbo engine now spews out a brawny 533kW (725hp) and a monumental 1,180Nm (870 lb-ft) of torque. ASMA says the modified CL will achieve a top end of about 330km/h (205mph). Comparatively the five metre-long stock CL 65 AMG spits out 457kW (621hp), wrenches out 1,000Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque and has a limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph).

Appropriate name, ASMA; it looks like it's trying so desperately to take a deep breath it is contorting its face quite horribly.

The people that designed this should be put out to pasture along with whoever is stunned enough to buy this bodykit.

This definitely takes the prize for the ugliest tuning package out there. I can't believe that there is actually time and money spent to come up with this. Anyone who is attracted to this really has no taste.

I seen this shark style on my customers car. He has it on a S-class. He told me he keeps on getting fined because he puts the number plate of the car on the dashboard.

It reminds me of the Maybach Exelero concept. But for a tuner to put an extra 120bhp and all that acne on what was once a good looking car and not remove the limiter is completely ridiculous.

Oh no! I didn't even notice that it is silver with a tan interior, the worst color combination ever. Make that $65,000 with the body kit.

Trying to through a little Audi "flair" in that grill, but going WAY over the top. I'd rather a stock CL65. Why not throw some Venician blinds in the windows and call it good.

I swear to GOD, If they offered me this car for FREE i wont take it. I swear. Its embarrassing to ride it actually. I'm sorry ASMA but this looks like a garage work to me, maybe worse.

Officially: Worst body kit in history.

PhantASMA is a Greek word and it means ghost. Its appropriate because this car is FUgly. I can't believe they actually did that.

Then again ... if you check the background in the pictures ... That's the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi in the UAE. I am sure some local guy with more money than taste ordered that.

You've got to love these guys though. I've been living in the UAE for the last 3 years and i've seen some weird cars driving around. At least they keep it fresh.

That is just wrong. I can tell you who'd buy this monstrosity. People that want attention. Kind of like people who put overly loud exhaust on a POS Honda or Toyota, along with an overstated spoiler. In other words... a douche.

I think the car with or without body kit should be removed from the face of the planet. 6.5 litre v12? No place on our planet for it unless you have no knowledge or don't care about bigger issues that are in play today.
