Couldn't it also possibly be the D4 A8 or A7? The A8 would probably be more appropriate for a 100 year celebration don't you think?

The A5 Sportback is a possibility, but considering the first prototypes of the model have only just begun to be spotted, it seems July 16th could come a little too soon for its unveiling.

It says "new mystery model". RS4 has been around for some time. The A8 has been around for some time. Seems like it may be the A7. Then again, it may be something to compete with the BMW X5/X6 M models. You know how these companies are, always trying to outdo eachother.

I think it might be the R4 or A7 based on the sportback concept, or the RS5 which seems to be in the final stages of development. Whatever it's going to be, i can't wait.

hey- remember that article with the billboards, where BMW answered "checkmate" - perhaps this model will be the next billboard saying "Wrong game darling... GIN"... Or... it will be something that looks like a R8...

Has anybody stopped to think that they haven't revealed the A8 yet? Mystery model just means they won't say what car they will be revealing, not necessarily something totally new, although it could be.

Did it not say a 'brand new model'?, not a new rendition of a previous model. Maybe something we've never seen before, like a convertible off-roader? or how about an A8 4 door convertible hardtop?

Nice ideas folks - but all wrong! The "new model" will be the Audi TT Clubsport Spider -- Audi presented the prototype on the anual GTI-Meeting in Austria last summer. The TT Clubsport Spider has the engine of the TT RS and will come as a limited edition. They will build only 700 cars worldwide. The car is available only in two colours - grey met. with orange interior or white met. with black interior. It has a very low windscreen and it comes without any canopy. How I know that? The dealers were requested to place their orders last autumn at the World Dealer Conference in Lisbon - they also had seen the car there. And nothing leaked till now. This model makes sense as a "birthday present".
