In 2008 BMW launched the facelifted 3 Series sedan and Touring models. Soon the coupe and coupe convertible will go under the scalpel for a facelift. These spy pictures show a white prototype of the coupe undergoing testing in Munich. Judging from the tailpipes it appears to be a twin turbo model. The E92 3 Series Coupe has been on the market since fall 2006.

Mainly the front and the rear end have been disguised to varying levels, leading to the conclusion that these two areas will receive special attention in the redesign. New air intakes, foglights, a new rear bumper and rear LED lights are all expected to be included. Whether the M3 coupe will also get a facelift remains to be seen.

With the facelift expected to arrive later this year as a 2010 MY, the next generation 3 Series range isn't due until 2012.

Good to see BMW has resisted the LED daytime lights bandwagon.

But then, they have Corona Rings.

As a Non BMW person , id like to know how good these really are ? , I saw a brand new white X6 not sure if was an M spec yet, but that looked 100 times better in real life than in the pictures...

Really good cars. The 335 (going to assume that's a 335, because no competitor comes close) is a well-rounded car. The turbos are unpredictable, and sometimes you can get 0-60 as quick as the new M3. The new A4 is a pretty car, but given the totality of everything, the 3 series is the better car to have.

Thanks for the info , I just thought there is no point saying "I dont like it" when a car can be totaly different in real life and better than you thought.

Maybe one day ill buy one .

The only thing i would say about BMW is be careful which model you opt for. BMW price can rake up if you make some wrong decisions. But there good cars if you like to drive

Text says that M3 sedan has not been facelifted yet, but it's rear end was indeed facelifted last year (new led rear lamps).

Finally, ive been waiting for this haha. When i sent my X5 in for its routine service, they gave me a 330ci for the weekend. Engine was impessive, but the handling and styling. Just wow. I would personally go for the twin turbo i6 though.

Come on fellas. As a BMW owner (330 e90) I would never want the headaches of the turbo. HPFP failure. Just google it. BMW really screwed the pooch on this one.

Does anyone know exactly when the facelift will be available in Australia? I'm about to put down a deposit for a 325 convertible and obviously I'd like to wait for the facelift. Thanks
