In 2008 BMW launched the facelifted 3 Series sedan and Touring models. Soon the coupe and coupe convertible will go under the scalpel for a facelift. These spy pictures show a white prototype of the coupe undergoing testing in Munich. Judging from the tailpipes it appears to be a twin turbo model. The E92 3 Series Coupe has been on the market since fall 2006.
Mainly the front and the rear end have been disguised to varying levels, leading to the conclusion that these two areas will receive special attention in the redesign. New air intakes, foglights, a new rear bumper and rear LED lights are all expected to be included. Whether the M3 coupe will also get a facelift remains to be seen.
With the facelift expected to arrive later this year as a 2010 MY, the next generation 3 Series range isn't due until 2012.
