Very good looking car, But IMO the DBS looks better, and I can't get over it's price tag.

money-no-object commitment to quality" - really think this is a good idea, seeing the car don't have any real buyers yet, plus even though it has a few intersting ideas that can be taken over to newer models, this car is by far not Aston Martin.

Nice car, looks like it will be fast and handle amazingly judging by its structure in the front. But unless all the aluminum accents are made out of Palladium and the LEDs are made out of diamonds i can't see how this car is worth 1.8million..It doesn't look 2x nicer than a Veyron, and i'm sure its not even as fast. So what are you really getting for 1.8mil? This car should have been 600,000USD max.

The craftmanship looks amazing and I still hold true to my first impression that this is probably the best looking car I've ever seen. However, I've always been about performance before looks (not in women though. On second thought, oh nm). With that said, it's 7.3 V-12 and a hefty... excuse me... ridiculously high price tag are nothing short of an eyebrow raiser, but enough small talk, I want to see what it can do. The way Aston Martin is describing it, they're putting a lot on the line and I don't think they'd risk their reputation as such. I mean we're not talkin really expensive Bently/Royce here... I hope.

The front vents in the lights look amazing! Too bad they said that all of them are gone, this sorta lame marketing put AM way down in my books...looks hawt none the less! I would be happy with a DBS and maybe a House...yacht...and a private plane for that money:D

all the aston have been spoken for but no one has actually put a depoist down, so frankly they haven't sold one yet. But really this car aint worth $80 000 let alone 1 millon plus.

what does "....complete....concept...." mean?
"Complete" should be completly finished production car and "Concept" should be a concept car.

Im fully aware no one iss going to agree with me on this but i PERSONALLY dont think it is as pretty as a DB9 or DBS and i would, to be honest, rather own one of them then the one-77
April 23, 2009 8:37 pm
I totally agree with you that the DBS is by far the best looking Aston on the road. This is a disaster.

haha thought i was alone on that. I get the feeling eventually we will learn to love it but im not keen on it at this moment in time

This is the most eccentric Aston Martin ever. This is like Lamborghini's Reventon, you're either going to love it immediately or shun it like leprosy. I personally love it. I think it looks spectacular and it's tremendously fast. One question though: is it going to be a GT or a full on 2-seat hypercar like the Enzo?

Exactly, which allows for an astronomical price tag. From an engineering standpoint, not viable to carry that price. Its all down to the badge and exclusivity.
Aston has put themselves in a position where the buyers of this car will be put off to find the next Vanquish stealing its technology.
Learn from Mercedes - SLR to Gullwing, where I can see Aston switching from DBs back to V-cars. (Virage, Vantage etc.)
The Veyron took a lifetime to develop, this? Just from a race car and beefed up auto transmission.
I love Astons, but i'm afraid, this is a rip-off

@Madaboutcars:
The reason why I don't think it's a rip off I because you don't buy for the engineering. There's no denying that there is some great work under the hood, but I agree with you when You say that it's not worth that much. I think the price is too high in any case, but the sheer look of the car really makes it so desireable. It's like the Reventon. It's really nothing too different from the LP640, with a couple of modifications here and there. But it looks like the offspring of Batman's Tumbler and a F22 Raptor or whatever. Thus the equally eccentric price tag. I wouldn't even want it because of the exclusivity, I want it because it looks so good. There are definitely 77 people who will want it, and eventually it will sell out. But from a value standpoint, you're absolutely right.

They have to add this car in a production line, not only limited the production to 77! but at least reducing 1/4 of the price tag!
April 24, 2009 9:45 am
Have no worries, they will, it will be called Vanquish or something rather.

It's a beautiful car. The grill is a little overdone, and could use a little redesigning.
April 24, 2009 2:38 pm
I'm hugely impressed by the technical engineering of this car and I'm in love with the style....but please..the grille looks like a terrible Zagato job. Please do something about that mess Aston. Think of it as Penelope Cruz. Pretty body, pert rear end, and then you get to her horrific nose.
