Porsche Aerokit Cup for 997 facelift

Porsche is developing an Aerokit Cup (new front and rear bumper, rear wing) for their Tequipment program for the Porsche 997 facelift. While the front bumper is completly redesigned, the rear gets only minor modifications in comparison with the Porsche Tequipment Aerokit Cup for the first generation.

The Aerokit Cup will be availible directly fitted in the factory or for the already existing cars as After Sales Solution fitted at the Porsche dealer. Presentation is expected for Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in September.

Also expected for presentation at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA): An optional Powerkit, which will increase the power of the Porsche 997 Carrera S facelift by approximately 25 hp. According to rumours the Powerkit will include the Porsche Sport Exhaust System (which is already available), the Aerokit Cup prototype on these images has this Exhaust System fitted, so the car is maybe not just a prototype for the Aerokit Cup and also an prototype for the Powerkit.

Looks pretty good here, but people are going to think you used the mods because you couldn't afford a GT3/GT3 RS.

I wonder how much the whole package will cost (Aerokit + Powerkit). Will it push the price of the Carrera S too close to the GT3?

I rally like it, the new GT3 reminds me of a completley new Porsche, tthis aero-kit on the other hand reminds me of the previous generation 997.0 GT3. I think i prefer the old GT3, so buying this would be like buying the modernized version of the previous GT3, rather than the actual GT3. Confusing right? Well it's all true =)

Totally agree, previous GT3's wing (and this aerokit) is much more original than the blade they're putting on the facelifted GT3.
