The forthcoming 2009 Bodensee Tuning World auto show in Germany (30 April - 3 May) will see the world premier of the new E-Class by Carlsson. The tuning company worked on many aspects of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and says its packages improve on what is already a good car.

The exterior is fitted with vertically-running LED daytime running lights, a stainless steel mesh grille and a redesigned front apron. On the sides are bold skirts that highlight the aggression of the design. The rear is characterised by the inclusion of an integrated diffuser, a rear spoiler and steel tailpipes. The split-spoke wheels measure up to 20-inches in diameter and are finished in black and silver. While it may seem a lot was added onto the car, Carlsson assures that the components are high quality, very low in weight and that they fit perfectly.

Brushed aluminium pedals, leather/ Alcantara, new floor mats with a white illuminated Carlsson logo and aluminium door locking pins feature inside.

The suspension system employed is called C-Tronic SUSPENSION and can lower the car by up to 42mm. Not only that but it can also adjust itself to suit whatever road condition prevails so that at each turn there is a good combination of sportiness and comfort.

Engines have received upgrades too to match the looks. In June the E250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY gets a power hike of 40hp to 244hp (179kW) and the E350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY gets an extra 46hp for a total of 277hp (204kW) from July. Power in the E500 V8 increases by 55hp to 443hp (326kW).

The sketch is ok but I'm sure the real thing will be ugly.

Why doesn't someone modify the rear end of this car??? Leave the front & attend to the rear ASAP!!! ;-)

Carlsson has been doing an exceptional job with their mods. They tend to push the limits which are a concern to the more consertative buyers. I personally like what they have done in the past. Lets see if the real thing looks as hot! I have to aggree with vlad that he rear is still an issue.
