so subaru want to run this race but not WRC? i know WRC is a ton more expensive than one 24 hour race, but rally is subaru's brand...

my personal guess, is that subaru is just trying to set the brand as an all round performance car rather than just a rally car.
besides i think different divisions decided on this. one division the british one i believe decided not to run in the rally while w.e this is decided they want to do this race. different division, different leaders, different budgets, different philosophy.
