Mercedes-Benz has released this lovely promotional video featuring the facelifted S-Class. Several aspects and certain styling attributes of the car are highlighted including the LED daytime running lights, rear LED lights and model designations.

The interior is shown in different angles and shots include the front, the dashboard with the COMMAND system, the seats and the rear area. This is 7 minutes of pure pleasure for all Mercedes fans and indeed anyone who loves luxury cars.

The S-Class is the epitome of the Mercedes-Benz road car empire and it encapsulates all that is grand about the brand. The new car features several engines like the 3.5-litre hybrid in the S400 Hybrid which has a fuel economy of 7.9 litres per 100km and produces 186 g/km of C02 gases.

Just how is it the best? Talk handling, innovation, design, brand image, quality, performance, comfort (maybe), this car is by no means the benchmark. So I think you should stop trying to be emotional just because it's from your beloved Merc brand. Evaluate it based on something constructive!

It is nice when driving in the dark. To me it looks more like the colour of droppings.... But I guess that's up to personal taste

It's not the best car and its far from a beauty ! and what is it with mercedes and nasty tacky steering wheels ?

That colour might set a pensioners pacemeaker racing , but does nothing for me. same as teh rest of the car.

Put this video on mute. It is a horribly boring car, and it's sad how hyundai it looks... sure hyundai copied them... but they seriously didn't have to copy back.

and how should this car look for you so it wouldn't be boring anymore? this is a premium luxury car and for every brand in this class the design it doesn't have to be edgy... 7th series, A8, they are all promoting a very discreet design so does it means they're boring???... and BTW did you ever drove one? did you ever sat in one, feel all its interior comfort, ergonomy, quality, to call it boring? Do it, please, and then comment...

Of course BMW's new 7 and Lexusfor that atter will be able to take that through their distinctive grills (esp BMW's) and release it through the elegant tailpipes. BTW, note how Merc copied BMW's tailpipes.

Splitview is the most antisocial invention in the history of technology. How rude would it be sitting in the front seat and watching a DVD!?

beautiful or not, this car certainly makes the 7 series seem like a horrible little mutant

they removed the metal part on the rear light... it was a nice touch for current S-class.. .not sure if it's good thing to do that... but still the new rear light looks really good..

s-class is without doubt overall the best model series poduced by mercedes in its 120 years history. It is beautiful, luxury, timeless, solid, high-tec, high quality sedan that defines what mercedes-benz has allways been.

this car actuallay defines how all the other sedans of this size and price range (A8, 7 series etc )are required to be.

Sorry for you, but in terms of handling, innovation, design, brand image, quality, performance, comfort (maybe), this car is by no means the benchmark. Look at the interior of the 7 and compare it to this piece of trash! The 7 won the most innovative car for the year 2009, what did the S get? NOTHING! As for the design, what is more tasteless than to put lines and lines of LEDs at the front just so that it stands out in teh crowd? BMW's corona rings will always be a unique classic by BMW only. As for the taillight of the S? It used to be very cool with the body coloured stripes, but now? It is a slap or narrow lights, making the car look terribly narrow and ugly in a way when looking at it from the rear. So all in all, no improvement to an already ordinary car.

If I was in this market, I'd be going for the best and also something that stands out in the crowd, something that's original, innovative and represents excellence. and at the moment, only the new 7 Series qualifies that title.

its always funny to me how the BMW fans come out in droves to criticize a new Benz when it comes out. if you don't like it, why are you online wasting your's and everyone else's time writing paragraphs about it? go do something constructive with your time. you don't see me typing up my dissertation on how hideous i think BMW's entire range is. good god.

i'm sorry 'TheKing', reading your comment makes me think that everything you have to say is based from pictures, and the internet. The s class could by far be the greatest car in the world. DID you just say INNOVATION?? wow. go get your facts straight. and you might want to SIT inside a real s-class for once before you base your information on something "constructive".

the facts is that the s-class was & always be the benchmark of the cars industry in the world...it was first to introduce the abs & esp to the world..also presafe & distronic plus..so get your fact right when you talk about innovation...besides the s-class is market leader in this sigment...& by the way ..the s-class took best luxury car in 2008....& since it was introduced to the world..every year the new generatioin is revealed it take the best car in the world...so inspite of talking like this why the hell no other car maker could ever beat the s-class 8 generations
