Civic coupe? Regardless, I like it. There's some great cars coming out of 'Korea' right now! If it were RWD, and they had a 3.8L V6... ohoh, That'd be sick competition for the Genesis

Hyundai own Kia, not likely they'd build the same car twice and cannibalize their profit margins.

Take the Pontiac solstice and Saturn sky for example, both are neat cars, on the same platform, and they did alright. Would only provide more option and innovation for the consumer

Which is one of the reasons why 'Sky' is no longer amongst us... Americans should just sell Opel as a European brand in the US instead of sprouting a bunch of useless brands on their road to bankruptcy... I see more sense in creating a replacement for the Hyundai Tiburon/Coupe instead of another Korean car that has to be priced lower than the Hyundai.

Who ever photographed this car did a terrible job. Also the wheels on this are some of the most unflattering things i have ever seen. But this isn't to say i don't like it for a little car

looks more like a Honda Civic to me, with revised things here and there.

Natural progression ... Kia really lifted their game with the sweetly styled Forte sedan ... this coupe adds another attractive alternative at the more affordable end of the market.

Isn't Peter Schreyer of Audi styling head at Kia? If I am right, this is lame. TT to this? Career over...

yes peter schreyer is still head of design at kia however this and the current crop of new kias had pretty much nothing to do with him just the new corporate grille he designed, his work can be seen more in the concepts such as the kee and kia_3

There had been a rumor that the Forte Koup will have 1.6L Turbo which produces 200bhp, but it turned out to be wrong at this time.. But the production model is almost the same as the concept. I like it.

Wow, looks awesome for a Kia. If you just pull the bumper grill up a little higher, we have a Evo X coupe.

Not bad, reminds me of a Honda Civic coupe though.

maybe the forte could get at least the 2,0t engine, right... that would be one hot little koup.

It is a Civic, Mazda 3, Matrix and lancer hybrid!!! What's up with their design team... out of ideas?

No, not out of ideas. This is what the Koreans have been doing for the past 10 years. Mish mash design cues from a bunch of different cars. Remember those weird looking kia sedans with the circle headlights and Jaguar s-type like rears? But I have to say they're getting really good at it. I like this car.. this has aftermarket tuner potential.

Regarding sports compacts, no turbo, no fun.

This does look good, although the power output cannot match its physical presence as is the case with a lot of cars out now, rendering it, 'a wannabe'

Looks like a ford to me....

I have to agree with Xanavi23 and I don't think the car is a wannabe in response to MadAboutCars. They want to make a car that's sportier than their competitors and affordable that turbo will raise the cost. Even if they had a turbo in it maybe the few of us who like the car would buy it but when your dealing with customer loyalty to CIVICS, SE-R'S, LANCERS, IMPREZAS, COBALTS, MAZDASPEED3, VW GOLF GTI AND the fact that everyone thinks everything from KIA is crap it might not sell well.
