...I am obviously an MB/AMG fan and I really want to like this car...but...I hope it looks better in person...in those pics it looks, staid, boring and a throwback to the 90s ricers with those huge front air intakes and the over-used mesh grill...

Stunning Car!! Can't wait to see it in the flesh. Could've had a few more Horses extracted from this beast. At least 410 kW. And it wouldn't even stress the motor. The article states it has 518 BHP and 386 kw. Isn't the ration to calculate BHP to kW 1.36:1 and not 1:1.34. This car would then have 526BHP and not 518. I guess I'm just nit picking!!

Thanks, yes it was a mistake which now reflects 525hp.

What is the deal with that orange reflector stuck on the side on the front bumper? First job would be to remove it!

it was and still the best AMG car. can't wait to see what Brabus and Carlsson will do with this monster

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Brabus will shoehorn their 730 hp V12 into the car, and then set out for some speed tests to reclaim that "Fastest Seden in the World" record, that was taken away from them some time ago.

I've got a feeling this car will look so much better in the flesh. Those images of the on show car look 10 times better than the studio/outdoor collection. It looks sleek, lightweight, aggresive and ready for a showdown in my opinion. It's a worthy successor to the outgoing E63.

The window profile is pathetic, i've seen sleeker looking buses than this, the rear end is pure Hyundai/Kia. Park this next to a Jaguar XFR and no sexy woman would look twice at the Merc!!!!!

seeings as the average E Class buyer is going to be around 50, i'm not sure that pulling power is that high up on the target demographic's priority list

the Toyotas and Nissans created Lexus and Infiniti to compete with the Mercs; BMWs; Audis;and the Jags. and now the Merc is producing cars to compete with the Toyatas; Hyundais; and KIAs.....???? 7 years in the making and this is the product??? a cheap budget family sedan. What happened ??? Who's blind here ???

No offense, but people are actually paying 2-300% more for the mark. I paid almost 100k for my 2006 E Class E280 in our region in Asia. and it actually drives worst than my previous 2002 BMW 525 and only slightly better than my 1998 Honda Accord. believe it or not! thats the truth.
