i'm prob speaking for citizen cake here... "even if i could afford a panarama, i would still go for the passat CC" i completely agree :P this is just butt ugly. does not deserve a porsche badge at all. only the interior is nice in this car.

first time i saw pictures of the 997 i hated it , then i saw one on the street and i absolutely loved it. i bet the Panamera will look a lot better in the flesh , it's impossible to see all of the subtle curves in 2D.

you prefer going through the iDrive menus while cruising on the Autobahn with 250 km/h or just push a button ? i think this is how a sport sedan should be.

Three words: I want one! I still wish the rake of the rear c-pilar/hatch was more... 911-ish; that's the only part of the car that I feel may be brought into question, but not at the expense of dismissing the entire design by labeling it ugly. Doesn't really matter how you feel anyway because love it or hate it, this car will sell. I'm thinking it'll look much better in person, too. Btw, Porsche kicks ass!

To all you haters, this is the type of car design that will grow on you. I don't like it much either but I'm sure that when I see it in person, my opinion will change.

I think that you are right on the money. It is abit like BMW design. Like the X6 for example when I first saw it I thought it was the fugliest thing on the face of the planet but now I think that it is a cool looking car.

The butt is still ugly as hell...........other than that, I got no beef with this car....if I can afford a car like this, I would definitely get the Aston Martin Rapide.....ooohhhh that is the best looking 4-dr sport sedan IMO......not forgetting the Audi A7....

It's still very difficult accepting the fact that Porsche is now actually manufacturing S.U.V.s, now, I also have to come to terms with a sedan adorning their badge???

Porsche used to build tractors too and even developed tanks , so why not SUVs and sedans ?

it is simply the best perfomance sedan in the world, it is even quicker than the fastest 4-seat coupes on the Ring. who cares about a big butt if u got the most brutal sedan the world has to offer under ur ar se. overall it is an awesome product with a big butt.

Yes, Porsche used to build tractors and helped developing tanks, but they were not known for producing sports cars back then. The tractors and tanks thing happened in World War II, and their first sports car was launched some years after that. People never said anything because those two events were completelly unrelated. Today, Porsche produces some of the best sports cars in the world, and has built a reputation because of that, that's why many people don't like the fact that they've started producing SUVs and sedans.

That picture against Shanghai skyline looks good! Really good. It's getting ridiculous how people are bidding up against each other to have the most strong opinion without even seeing the car in the flesh. Choosing a Passat CC over this? What a joke! Go ahead, I'll have fun driving what will turn out to be the ultimate driver's sedan!

First time I saw a spy picture of it, I thought it was going to be the most stylish station wagon (understatement). Though I'm happy with the Qporte I don't feel at home in that car. The interior is comfortable but in doesn't invite me. That Panamera has a sweet interior. I'll buy one in that interior with the blue exterior color in the pics. What I don't get is why not replace the rear center console with an extra seat. Did anyone notice the pedal position? That is a sure indication that car has way too much performance. Looks better than I thought it would've though.
