Why have you only mentioned the RRS? The "proper" Range Rover gets these engines too. And who'd have thought they could make that car any more appealing.
What's happened to the V8 Diesel? I never hear that unit mentioned any more, even though the Land Rover wensite suggests it's still available (on the outgoing model anyway).
Forgot to add: are those Kahn alloys on the RRS?

I think they didn't mention the Range Rover because our grand parents are probably not going to read this post.

I'm guessing you would get to know your local petrol station owner fairly well if you buy the S/C 5.0-litre V8.

The 3.6L TDV8 will be replaced by a 4.4L TDV8 soon. That would be even more powerful than the units at VAG or MB.

The lease on my 2007 RR Vogue finishes at the end of this year. I'll be more than happy to trade it in for this baby.

...I was hoping they would give us a sportier design to go with the new engines...the name says RRsport the design says same, old boring box...

This post is NOT just about the Sport model. Look at many of the pictures at the bottom...it is The Range Rover (full size). Wow, they made the 2007-2009 model even better. Happy the Land Rover made great improvements, but bloody pissed that my new 2008 Range Rover HSE (had 2 months now) is already going to be "dated". The 2010 model besides the huge hp increase (that I don't care about), has start/stop ignition, amazing new instruments, better HVAC controls, perfect steering wheel, new taillights, bumpers... Scheisse!!!

love the interior on the range rover sport, marked improvement over the current interior, i had an RRS for about three weeks and interior was a huge disappointment it felt cheap compared to the range rover, but the new one is sexy and sporty and fits the look of the car alot more.
not a fan of the range rover though like i said on the piece on the new lr4 disco they look to much alike for my tastes

Happily, I see the most changes given to the RRS. The interior is far beyond what it used to be in both design and apparent quality and the subtle changes to the exterior are quite classy. The changes to the RR are not as numerous, but still quite nice (like the leather wrapped roof).
I can't say I'm so impressed by the new 5.0sc engine, however. It seems competitive in its numbers but as their previous 400hp engine illustrated, numbers aren't everything. It won't compete with a Cayenne Turbo, ML63 or X5M, BUT, it should be a welcomed improvement for the RR crowd!

There's no question technology has increased in these. However, I'm concerned quality may have slipped some in the process. The new switchgear looks questionable. Those big, shiny, hard buttons appear to be a haptic nightmare. I can only guess from the pics. I can't wait to get in one and start touching everything...

This is the RR (Rolls Royce) of SUVs. The subtle exterior changes and major interior improvements are a great evolution.
