Wow, the Grand Cherokee finally lived up to it name. GRAND! The design looked really nice compare to previous model. I look forward to seeing it soon on road. American Autos is fighting back for living! This is good news for them! Go for it JEEP!

What is it American cars that have a really nice front view but ugly rear? Still I do hope this does the trick for Jeep, it'll be a shame if such an iconic brand dies.

I can't believe it, an Amercian SUV without an oversized grille? That have to be a breakthrough.

It has completely lost it's character, in my opinion. I didn't particularly love the last one either, but at least it was distinctive, and that's respectable. It was also easily identifiable as a Jeep, this just isn't. Whether it's the faceless front (chrome usage is not directly proportionate to premiumness), or the strange, strange rear that looks like a Ssanyong, it's awful. The interior looks quite modern and actually ok, but that's what I thought about the 300C too. Then I set foot inside one. Though, all things considered, this is a Jeep, and Jeeps are good off-road, or so the article says. I'm sure the ML chassis only serves to help this cause. (How were they able to do that by the way, aren't they split up?)

looks pretty decent. the back looks a little toyota-ish, but overall decent. let's hope the driving backs up the looks

why do I get the feeling that chrysler is headed closer toward bankruptcy with this one than before? The look is fresh I do have to admit, but that does not justify for the cheap interior which is rather questionable from the fittings, to the plastics. It looks very last minute. Competitiors in this class have a lot more to offer in terms of style and accessories. I expected more from jeep's top of the line 4WD.

I totally disagree, the interior looks much better than the one of the current version and/or the older versions... and I don't see any resemblance with Toyota in regards to the rear... overall, it looks good.

Looks very good on the inside and on the outisde, but how's shares parts with the ML, Chrysler and Merc divorced like 2 years ago.

Ok front, bloated rear arches, dull, very generic back. 4/10

The design is modern but I don't feel the front design does justice to the classic Jeep character. Jeep has been and should be synonymous to macho, rugged and go anywhere type of SUV. I think instead of squarish headlight round would have been still better. I am still fascinated by Jeep SRT .

JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE Exterior (Front View); Resembles the 'Range Stormer' concept. Exterior (Rear View); Resembles the Toyota Fortuner S.U.V. However, I actually like this vehicle, despite it's obvious 'flaws.' I hope for jeep's sake, this model's a favorite among S.U.V. ensthusiasts. Good luck Jeep...

that's a great design IMO... looks a little like daddy's tough version of the chrysler pacifica, but still manages to be clean, stylish and overall appealing, with a somewhat upmarket flair.

I do like the design.....it has clean lines, but I gotta say that the back does look a bit toyota-ish. Interior is nice too, just have to wait and see/feel the real quality inside. Overall, nicely done, especially with the Selec-Terrain system, but the only thing that will deter from buying this is if the mileage is low.

This is really a great loocking car!! And will certainly be tehnically good too. Still, they missed one thing: FUEL ECONOMY ! They need an engine that does 30 MPG. Use a decent V6 ! Or, even better, USE A DIESEL ! People in the USA are finally realizing that Diesel is good. It would be a huge marketing mistake not to sell a Diesel in the USA, since they have a lot of engines from where to choose from. In Europe they offer the Durango and Nitro with a 2.8 liter Diesel. Why is not present in the USA? Pure stupidity!!

Reason is that USA has totally mad laws for normal diesels. Still they allow extremely polluting diesels in fullsize trucks. Limits for passenger car diesels are ridiculous, nobody cant offer proper modern and clean diesel there.

Great redesign Jeep. They maintained the Jeep Cherokee DNA while totally updating and making it more modern. I have never understood why someone would pay $30,000- $40,000 more for a LandRover model. Let's hope the American consumer wakes up and sees that most of this quality gap with Asian car-makers is a perceived gap. Go Jeep.
