Lorinser has tossed out some scanty details of its upcoming tuning kit for the 2010 Mercedes E-Class, and we've got the first leaked photos of the modified W212 Mercedes.

As seen in the previous sketches that have been released, a grille reminiscent of that worn by the C-Class Sport is used, transforming the front end of the new E-Class. The front spoiler is also more aggressive and features larger air intakes. Side skirting emphasizes the fender flares, and a set of Lorinser RS 9 light-alloy wheels fills the wheel wells. At the rear, a roof spoiler and rear bumper diffuser with quad exhaust outlets distinguish the muscular sedan's tail.

The top-rated Lorinser E 500 will boast a healthy performance boost as well, thanks to new cams, an upgraded exhaust and revised engine control. Horsepower is up to 435, from the stock 388, with torque jumping from 530 Nm to 570. Lorinser claims a 280 km/h top speed. The tuner also plans upgraded versions of the diesel-powered E Class models. To help contain the additional power, the suspension has been lowered.

We've also got some sketches of the upcoming E Class Coupe, as repackaged by Lorinser. The performance modifications are reportedly similar to those of the sedan, but the coupe is more aggressively styled, with the drawings appearing to show a full widebody kit.

The Lorinser W212 E-Class modification program is expected to go on sale at the end of April.

Gipsy tuning as usually.

I quite like that, even though I hate what most tuners do. Enhances the E-Class's looks in my opinion. Interesting to see whether what they've done makes it more exciting to drive, as most reports state it is comfortable rather than sporting.

Wow, actually not as ugly as previous Lorinsers. The eyelids are very Japanese Tuner-esque.

I've held my opinion about Mercedes' design cues for years, hoping that their designs would evolve for the better. However, I've grown impatient. In the past, the average car enthusiast could've easily notice that Asian vehicles were adopting the design cues of European vehicles. Now it's evident that the table has turned, or has it????? Can someone please inform me as to which continent's the culprit???? I'm now confused, to many recurent instances!!!!! For example the rendering looks Hyondai....
