but it's like 30 kilograms more and the car itself isn't a lotus elise so no problem here with PDK.

Beautiful car! Funny how small details matter...I love porsche, I love manual gXs,but if they make the car go faster, put it as an option!

Forget the PDK (even though it's an amazing piece of engineering), just make the RS even LIGHTER!!!! less than 3,000lbs lighter

what's the point of buying this car with PDK ? this is meant to be the hardcore driver's 911. on the other hand i hope they put PDK and direct injection and make a GT2 RS version, that would be a monster !

This is not the GT3 RS! No center locking hubs are the dead give away here. This is nothing more than someones 997 cup car. The center locking hubs are standard on the new GT3 so it is a very safe assumption that they will be on the RS. There is no way they would test without this wheel.

If u hadnt noticed, Porsche has been testing the future GT3 RS without the center-hub wheel for quite some time...im basing my assumption on the large amount of pics, the last I remember were from the Nurburgring...in fact, I believe it would be dumb to test the car only with one type of wheel...

What is it with Porsche selling 12 versions of the same car? And why are you so excited about it? The way I see it you now you have a GT3 RS that can beat a GT3 if your stocks have gone up enough to graduate from your GT2 but are still saving up for a second hand GT because that's the car you wanted when it was released but couldn't afford. No one is going to care or differentiate between this and an aftermarket tuning job done on your mate's 911 for 10K. In fact, he's smarter than you because he just saved 100K to spend as a down payment for his yacht in Monte-Carlo. And after writing this I realize that if you buy this car you probably already have a yacht...

there are 15 versions of the 911. you think you can turn a normal Carrera into a GT3 RS with 10k ? 10k what ?

Another problem with Porsche and wannabe Porsche drivers... they lack a sense of humor and are incredibly anal about details...

its not that they dont't have a sense of humour, its that your comments aren't remotely funny. The thing that makes the gt3 RS one of the greatest sports cars in the world isn't the size of its rear wing or its quarter mile time. Its that it is the most exhilarating and emotionally involving car to drive. Try getting that out of an after market tuner. And if you look at it that way, BMW M cars are in the same boat: just go to a tuner and beef up your 3 series, what do you need an M3 for? And lastly, this car is not an upgrade over the gt2. The gt2 is made for producing great track numbers. Which it does. This car's intention is rather different.

Right... well... can't be funny all the time. One thing's for certain though, this car takes itself so seriously that it's one of the most boring looking, repetitive and uninspiring cars you can buy. All Porsche cars are driver oriented, that's pretty much their entire sales pitch. You, me, and most of the world won't be able to differentiate between the 911 Turbo and the GT3RS when behind the wheel. The entire gradient of Porsche's lineup varies from GT to Race-oriented. How many models does one need to get the same effect? There is no point to this car, and probably none to 6 other models in the lineup. Why you are avidly defending this GT3 + trim -Aircon version is a mystery to me.
