toyotas are the masters of creating new markets. landcruiser grows - prado grows to replace landcruiser, kluger grows to replace prado - rav4 grows to replace kluger... every generation grows to replace it's big brother... now rav4 is so big they need a new little brother - the urban cruiser. about time too. just a shame toyota cant design a car with character. we want to be green and responsible, but still want every model to be bigger and better than the last...

Its not a real SUV, its just a restyled Yaris with SUV-inspired styling, its sort of a crossover. In Japan its known as the "Toyota ist" in the US its known as the "Scion xD". PS: In Japan the Yaris (known there as Vitz) also has an AWD version.

Well what do you expect from "boring" Toyota?, I guess they are proud to be boring and they are unashamed of it. They build cars for people who want to go from A to B regardless of the styling, they want dependability/reliability and Toyota are so damn good at this thats why they sell by bucket loads its not rocket science.

An Urban SUV - a good idea... But far too slow and much too expensive. Plus dubious looks and an unpleasant drive. Not for me, sorry!
