toyotas are the masters of creating new markets.
landcruiser grows - prado grows to replace landcruiser, kluger grows to replace prado - rav4 grows to replace kluger... every generation grows to replace it's big brother... now rav4 is so big they need a new little brother - the urban cruiser. about time too.
just a shame toyota cant design a car with character.
we want to be green and responsible, but still want every model to be bigger and better than the last...

I think this is a good looking car exetrior wise, especially the front. But the interior is just cheap!

Its not a real SUV, its just a restyled Yaris with SUV-inspired styling, its sort of a crossover.
In Japan its known as the "Toyota ist" in the US its known as the "Scion xD".
PS: In Japan the Yaris (known there as Vitz) also has an AWD version.

Well what do you expect from "boring" Toyota?, I guess they are proud to be boring and they are unashamed of it. They build cars for people who want to go from A to B regardless of the styling, they want dependability/reliability and Toyota are so damn good at this thats why they sell by bucket loads its not rocket science.

Japanese design is too monotonous.. Rather korean cars has more attractive design then japanese..

An Urban SUV - a good idea...
But far too slow and much too expensive. Plus dubious looks and an unpleasant drive. Not for me, sorry!

For the same money I'd go for the new restyled Mazda 3. (Plus it has Euro-Focus underpinnings so it handles really well)
