Our friends over at BMWBlog have managed to capture the upcoming 2010 BMW X6 M virtually undisguised just days before it is scheduled to be unveiled at the New York Auto Show.
Although this testing mule is still wearing some camouflage, the overall look of the X6 M is decidedly aggressive as it boasts a new front bumper with massive air intakes. Elsewhere we can see the new high-performance model features a unique mono-tone exterior paint scheme that creates a far more premium appearance than lesser X6s, which come with black plastic lower body cladding. While the camouflage prevents us from getting a clear picture of the X6 M's rear, it will most likely only undergo minor alterations such as a switch from dual exhaust to a more M-like quad exhaust setup.
BMW has been tightlipped about what will power the new model but so far all indications point to a new twin-scroll twin-turbo V8 engine which should produce 550 horsepower.
