The Opel Insignia OPC is currently undergoing a series of high-performance tests at the fabled Nürburgring. These new spy photos of the sports sedan follow closely to the ones published yesterday. Clad in OPC signature blue, the Insignia is barely covered up which means a public reveal is not far off.
Small important details like the front air intakes, OPC badging and tailpipes are still covered up despite recent spy photos showing a white Insignia OPC completely uncovered.
Expected power is said to be over the 300hp (221kW) from a compact turbocharged engine and AWD cannot be ruled out. Opel's 6-speed manual gearbox would be the first choice for the transmission and Brembo has supplied the brakes.
The question now; which of the upcoming motor shows in the next few weeks will be the one to reveal the Insignia OPC in its full garb and glory? Or do we have to wait until Frankfurt in September?
