and to think, they could have enjoyed their f1 investment mature for a small portion of their investment in these gimmicks.

exactly what i was thinking... they can come up with this interesting yet currently fairly useless technology and not be able to do, in their whole F1 history, what brawn has yet again done in a month or two with that team! (congratulations btw brawn f1!) ok so maybe it was the engines from honda that wernt great... brawn = Mercedes... lol but still!

As much as i hate to say this, but this is a much better investment than F1 for Honda, in japan and therefore the world there are basically 3 leaders in robotics, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, and Honda. They have a division that is like a small scale Siemens for controls, robotics, and motors. Something like this could revolutionize the industry of robotics, where in F1 all the revelations are done by Ferrari anyways why bother when you can't match their budget? It's like Cessna going up against Boeing to try and make a new Jumbo Jet, ain't gonna happen. Might as well stick to what your good at and get better at it.
